Unrelated.
This photo is unrelated to anything... but I like it.
Blogging is lacking right now. I know. I feel the guilt. I'm a little overrun right now. I've got shows all colliding at once. One started a little early, returns are happening a little late... my shop is completely buried in chaos. My roommate is out of town so I somehow need to find time to also walk/feed/play with the dog in reasonable intervals (rather than leaving at 9am and returning at 1am). I wouldn't say I'm stressed exactly, but I am stretched a bit thin. I went to a theatre conference yesterday which left me with new ideas I hope to expound upon soon... Basically I wanted to let the few of my faithful readers (hi Mom and Dad) know that I haven't forsaken the blog. I'm just running with my nose down and plowing forward. Hopefully when I get to the other end of this tunnel I'll have more interesting things to say. In the mean time I may just post some random photos every now and then.
Hope you're doing well out there!

Baruch!
This is a friend of mine. You may have seen me post it before (on my social media sites) but if you think it's funny please like it on YouTube. This is part of a contest that will let the winner publish a collection of work.
I think he's pretty funny.

Seattle EMP
The EMP has a guitar room full of oddities from the past and if you get the audio tour you can hear all of these cool instruments being played.
There was a Horror movie display that had some cool props like Mr. Pointy (the stake that Buffy killed Angel with)...
Edward's scissor hands...
a Thriller zombie costume...
and I really loved this three story kenetic guitar sculpture;
This sculpture is outside the EMP and the Space Needle, I have no real place to put this photo but I liked it a lot.
Ok that's enough... onward to the present!

Melting Music Museum!
This is the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum in Seattle. The building was designed by aliens Frank Gehry. I had to steal this aerial shot from the internet to really show you vaguely what this organic metallic structure looks like.
This is the side entrance by the monorail
Inside the walls are reflective like the exterior, it's hard to tell from the photo what is window and what is wall.
Colors are not enhanced by photoshop... it really looks like an amazon butterfly. A metal butterfly.
Next up; inside the building...

Quiet.
Yes... I escaped! It was a glorious four day Seattle excursion. I had an amazing time, saw people I love, spent a day in a museum, tried new foods, met new people... it was good... but I am feeling rather quiet, perhaps just tired, so I am afraid the real blogging will be coming soon. Sorry Mom and Dad, I'll call or blog soon-ish. Jacquie says I'm a bad daughter for not calling to let you know my plane didn't crash into the ocean, so yea maybe so. All is well, I took a surprising amount of photos... please stand by.

The collective has spoken.
Despite the well meaning people who think clowns are fun, the Google auto-fill knows what is really on our minds. By Merely typing "clowns are" This is what you get;
The European version of clown (not full white face, no Bozo talking) is slightly less scary, but really perhaps it's just time to retire this cultural phenomenon. Balloon animals are just as enjoyable when they are made by someone not wearing any make up at all.

March 30th
Since I don't have any photos of my Dad's birthdays as a kid, I present this photo montage re-imagining of what one of his parties could have looked like...
Happy Birthday Pop! I love you!

Arm chair travel
Google Maps' little orange man provides me with so much satisfaction. I can explore the world for free. I can also look around many major cities to find the places I should add to my "must see" list...
Here are my favorite finds this week;
Ok this one was Seattle, the woods by the lake is nice and all but the bisected woman amused me greatly;
Apparently Seattle has a really cool museum I need to go see...
Dublin Ireland has a place called Booze2Go... love it!
This is also Dublin! Oh gosh n' begorah I want to spend a good long vacation in Ireland.
And this one is Puerto Vallarta Mexico, such a pretty beach city...
Ok, that's it. I am burnt out from work this month and am planning on taking my first day off in about three weeks tomorrow. The knots in my back are terrible. One day isn't going to be enough but it's going to need to suffice, much like the way that although I cannot travel, I can at least Google and that is going to need to tide me over for a bit.
Sigh.
