Ganesha in San Francisco

I never thought I would see a twenty foot tall Ganesh sitting in front of Macy's, but apparently this is an annual thing

Macy's brought in all of these beautiful flowers and displayed them throughout the lower levels of the store. This floor is usually reserved for leather handbags, perfume and jewelry. Most of it smells of HEAVENLY azaleas and jasmine, in some places you smell the azaleas mixed with leather and Calvin Klein.

While I was meandering I overheard a woman with a distinctly Indian accent say "I guess this is how they say 'we like Indians'"

I think that the rotating elephants above the perfume counters were particularly ah... tasteful

I love these lanterns... when I get my castle these will be in my entryway.

The window displays were like something out of Huntington gardens... only behind glass, at Macy's... surreal.

Happy Birthday Dad!

This is the only photographic proof I have that my Dad was little. Perhaps it is because he was the youngest of four, perhaps it's because the cave paintings have been worn down by time ;) ... None the less here's my ever loving Dad as a little kid, he is the one in the striped shirt on the far right of the picture. I love you Dad!

Happy Birthday Kelly Beth!

It's my baby sister's 23rd Birthday today! This day 23 years ago she made us all get up at an ungodly hour because she was in a huge rush to be born. She couldn't even wait to make it to the hospital. I stared back from the passenger's seat while Kelly was being delivered in the back of the Travelall... so since I have no pictures of that, here's one taken a few years later. Love you KB!

Theater on my brian

I'm so happy photos are loading again! I got my package from Thailand covered with cool Thai stamps and filled with gold leafed accessories that are so Cool to get. I've got fittings coming up in a week and opening in mid-April so I'm pretty much breathing Midsummer Night's Dream all day long and every hour where I am tending to things that are not my show make me excessively irritated.

Tiaras

My work continues to take over my life, so here it is, the most exciting purchace of the week. I found a package of 6 tiaras for 6 dollars. All they need is to be turned gold and given a little glitz... stand back about 20 feet and throw on some stage light and viola you have a (hopefully) beautiful gold tiara. We'll see how the stage photos turn out, but I'm optimistic.
