It was a cold and foggy night
Tonight the fog set in and blew across the stage and through the house while coyotes howled like mad from the hills. It's odd how the mist can feel colder than snow at times. The mucus in your nose does not freeze when you inhale like it sometimes does in the winter... but the cold wind somehow cuts deeper. I was fortunate enough to be under the deck and in my down coat for most of rehearsal today... but I hold special sympathy for two of our actors who are nearly naked (one gets underwear and the other gets a sheet... brr!) on stage. The weather in London tomorrow is supposed to be between 44 and 56 degrees fahrenheit, with a possibility of rain... so perhaps we are simply giving the audience a more realistic Elizabethan theater experience... however Shakespeare's actors would have been wearing heavy Elizabethan garments, no sexy little bias cut dresses or near-full male nudity.

Tech week is here
Ahh it's now 1:45 in the morning and I just got home from work. Tonight was first tech but there were no costumes so I was sitting in the green room waiting for the day to end. Tomorrow however will be more eventful. I must get up early to volunteer at the library, then I will zoom over to the apple store where an apple "genius" will look at my computer with the busted speakers and say "oh we can't fix this here we must send it in" and alas I will be without my computer for a while :( Then I shall head over to the shop where I will wrestle the clothes away from the shop (they're a tad behind) and haul them up to the theater. My day tomorrow will end even later... actors don't get out of costume until 1am, then we have a production meeting and do laundry... chances are that I will not be home until 2:30 tomorrow (or rather Saturday). Oh well, such is tech week.

Thus far I've painted and put in all the major furniture... the season is gearing up at the old Shakespeare festival.

greetings from the wilderness
Hey all, still on vacation. Went to Catalina, left the day before it caught fire (it wasn't me). Now hanging out in Idyllwild and trying to enjoy the art of doing "nothing"... stay tuned for the gripping tale of the trip to Catalina... pictures too if my friend (who had the waterproof casing) gets me the photo CD.

Weather and local interest...
It is spring... and thankfully a decongestant has recently been created that allows me to breathe and stay consious at the same time. Thank You Claritin. The marina is covered with this beautiful red clover that I've only ever seen up here in Northern California. It's beautiful.
As for the bridge situation; It wasn't utter disaster. Traffic has been kinda bad but it seems like everybody decided to take BART. All of the BART lots are full as are the surrounding neighborhoods... meanwhile the traffic on the way to SF has been light and there has been ample parking in the city... by "ample" I mean up to two free meters on almost every block! On Monday BART was free... I took a picture but have been too lazy to upload it onto my computer. The good news today is that the bottom level of the damaged freeway was "warped" but won't need to be replaced... it may open up before July. Yay.
