It was a cold and foggy night

Tonight the fog set in and blew across the stage and through the house while coyotes howled like mad from the hills. It's odd how the mist can feel colder than snow at times. The mucus in your nose does not freeze when you inhale like it sometimes does in the winter... but the cold wind somehow cuts deeper. I was fortunate enough to be under the deck and in my down coat for most of rehearsal today... but I hold special sympathy for two of our actors who are nearly naked (one gets underwear and the other gets a sheet... brr!) on stage. The weather in London tomorrow is supposed to be between 44 and 56 degrees fahrenheit, with a possibility of rain... so perhaps we are simply giving the audience a more realistic Elizabethan theater experience... however Shakespeare's actors would have been wearing heavy Elizabethan garments, no sexy little bias cut dresses or near-full male nudity.

What a gorgeous shot! I thought it was 'actors starve, technies eat', but apparently it's 'actors freeze..'
