America Tropical

This week I am opening a new opera and it's actually pretty good. It's not a typical opera at all. It lasts about an hour and nobody dies. The show is set in LA in a time warp from 1780 to present, including the Rodney King beatings and circling around a mural that was painted on Olevera street in the '30's by David Siquieros... hard to explain, but really interesting and it has beautiful music.
